According to mushroom quotation provided by Hubei Jingzhou Lianghu Vegetable Wholesale Market, on February 27, Hericium erinaceus and Auricularia polytricha are two varieties that show price rise.

1. Price of Hericium erinaceus has risen from 17 to 18 CNY per kg, showing 6% of increase range.
2. Price of Auricularia polytricha has risen from 4 to 5 CNY per kg, showing 25% of increase range.

 

On the contrary, by February 27, Shiitake mushroom, Superior Shiitake mushroom, Enoki mushroom, Brown Shimeji mushroom, White beech mushroom, King oyster mushroom and Oyster mushroom are 7 varieties that show price fall.

1. Price of Shiitake mushroom has dropped from 16 to 13 CNY per kg, indicating 19% of decline range.

2. Price of Superior Shiitake mushroom has dropped from 20 to 18 CNY per kg, indicating 10% of decline range.

3. Price of Enoki mushroom has dropped from 9 to 7.5 CNY per kg, indicating 17% of decline range.

4. Price of Brown Shimeji mushroom has dropped from 22.5 to 16.7 CNY per kg, indicating 26% of decline range.

5. Price of White beech mushroom has dropped from 23.3 to 18.7 CNY per kg, indicating 20% of decline range.

6. Price of King oyster mushroom has dropped from 8.5 to 7 CNY per kg, indicating 18% of decline range.

7. Price of Oyster mushroom has dropped from 8 to 7 CNY per kg, indicating 13% of decline range.
“Price of Pleurotus cornucopiae, Seafood mushroom, Cordyceps sinensis, Pleurotus geesteranus and Black fungus is respectively at 10 CNY, 14 CNY, 24 CNY, 14 CNY and 8 CNY per kg in our market. After Chinese New Year, temperature begins to rise, which results in the decline of mushroom sales. In the coming time, price of mushroom is still possible to go down,” introduces manager of Hubei Jingzhou Lianghu Vegetable Wholesale Market warmly.

On February 26, it is the fiery harvest time in one of bases in Shunchang County, Fujian Province of China.

Shunchang County is located in subtropical zone where is mild in climate, abundant in rainfall, large in temperature difference between day and night and fertile in soil, which fits for Bamboo fungus cultivation.

In addition, Shunchang County is also known as “The Hometown of Mao Bamboo”, area of bamboo forest reaches 670,000 mu. And, there are 56 enterprises which engage in production of bamboo products, bamboo scraps are utilized as the compost for Bamboo fungus cultivation.

Recently, in Derun Mushroom Farm located in Suixi County, Guangdong Province of China, Straw mushrooms cultivated on fungi bed are in harvest season.

“Straw mushrooms are packed with vitamins, amino acids, proteins and they are hence hailed as “Kiwifruit of Mushroom”.
