1.Price of Straw mushroom has risen from 20 to 24 CNY per kg, indicating 20% of increase range.
 
2.Price of Agrocybe cylindracea has risen from 8 to 9 CNY per kg, indicating 13% of increase range.
 
3.Price of Big Clitocybe has risen from 20 to 22.5 CNY per kg, indicating 13% of increase range.
 
4.Price of Pleurotus nebrodensis has risen from 18.8 to 21.3 CNY per kg, indicating 13% of increase range.
 
On the contrary, by May 30, Seafood mushroom, King oyster mushroom, Brown Shimeji mushroom, Enoki mushroom, Button mushroom and Pleurotus geesteranus are 6 mushroom varieties that show price fall.
 
1. Price of Seafood mushroom has dropped from 8 to 7 CNY per kg, indicating 13% of decline range.
 
2. Price of King oyster mushroom has dropped from 7 to 6 CNY per kg, indicating 14% of decline range.
 
3. Price of Brown Shimeji mushroom has dropped from 11.7 to 10 CNY per kg, indicating 15% of decline range.
 
4. Price of Enoki mushroom has dropped from 6.5 to 5.5 CNY per kg, indicating 15% of decline range.
 
5. Price of Button mushroom has dropped from 12 to 11 CNY per kg, indicating 8% of decline range.
 
6. Price of Pleurotus geesteranus has dropped from 18 to 14 CNY per kg, indicating 22% of decline range.
 
“Price of Shiitake mushroom, Superior Shiitake mushroom, White beech mushroom, Drumstick mushroom and Black fungus is respectively at 12 CNY, 18 CNY, 10 CNY, 14 CNY and 7 CNY per kg. Recently, supply of mushroom is sufficient in our market, some mushroom varieties are overstocked while they stay in small sales volume, which result in slip of mushroom price. 2.Price of Enoki mushroom has dropped from 18 to 17 CNY per kg, indicating 6% of decline range.

3.Price of King oyster mushroom has dropped from 22 to 20 CNY per kg, indicating 9% of decline range.
 
4.Price of Agrocybe cylindracea has dropped from 8 to 7.5 CNY per kg, indicating 6% of decline range.
 
5.Price of Seafood mushroom has dropped from 20 to 12 CNY per kg, indicating 40% of decline range.
 
6.Price of White beech mushroom has dropped from 12 to 9 CNY per kg, indicating 25% of decline range.
 
7.Price of Brown Shimeji mushroom has dropped from 6.5 to 5.5 CNY per kg, indicating 15% of decline range.
 
On the contrary, by May 20, Pleurotus geesteranus is the sole variety that shows price rise, from 8.4 to 8.8 CNY per kg.
 
“In May, price of mushroom overall slips in our market by reason of slack sales season. Meanwhile, the possibility of a continuing decline of mushroom price in a short period of time in the future cannot be excluded,” said manager of Jiangsu Fumin Market passionately.
Recently, in mushroom base located in Dulongjiang Village, Gongshan County, Yunnan Province of China, Morel mushrooms are in picking period.

“In the past, wild Morel mushrooms were commonly seen in Dulongjiang Village, Gongshan County while there were no artificially-cultivated Morels. In 2016, the government of Dulongjiang Village began to grasp at the development prospect of Morel mushroom, and help farmers end poverty and increase revenues through Morel mushroom industry. After the successful trial cultivation in 5 mu of area, the technology was then promoted in 2017,” introduces Mr. Luo Qingchun, one of local villagers warmly. “Dulongjiang Village holds moist climate and abundant rainfall which fit for the growth of Morel mushrooms. Now, i contract the farmland that occupies over 20 mu for Morels cultivation. By 2019, the economic benefits are expected to reach 170,000 CNY or so.”
On May 15, in Qiandaohu Yingsang Mushroom Cooperative located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province of China, Auricularia nigricans are vigorously evolving into the maturation.

“On the basis of last year’s successful trial cropping, this year, we expand the scale to 20,000 sticks, by the end of this year, the expected gross output reaches 20 tons while the anticipated output value comes to 400,000 CNY. Auricularia nigricans (玉木耳) is the new mushroom variety selected and bred by Jilin Agricultural University. Output of Auricularia nigricans is double of that of Black fungus. Up to now, artificial cultivation of Auricularia nigricans has been realized in Jilin, Liaoning, Shandong and other provinces in China, and stable output has been shown on hanging-bag fruiting and wall-pattern fruiting, which indicated broad and bright market prospect.
