Recently, Mr. Hou, the village cadre of Caogong Village, Shanxi Province of China is arduously passing on picking technology of Shiitake for villagers. According to know, after the graduation, Mr. Hou successively raised 550,000 CNY on establishment of mushroom cooperative and started to lead villagers to engage with Shiitake cultivation. Up to now, 12 Shiitake greenhouses have been built in the cooperative, annual Shiitake output comes to 60,000 sticks, annual output on fresh and dried Shiitake respectively adds up to 60 tons and 1 tons, which indicates considerable benefits.

Besides, output on basswood Black fungus reaches 860,000 segments and the expected output value attains 5.8 million CNY. So far, 8.08 million CNY and 3.77 million CNY of output value have been respectively realized on bag-material Shiitake and basswood Black fungus cultivation. Mushroom industry has become one of characteristic industries which promote local masses to increase earnings.

For years, Dafang County, Guizhou Province of China has been vigorously developing mushroom industry. According to know, the county has introduced Shanghai Xuerong Mushroom Group and built 16 mushroom factories which occupy 83,000 square meters and hold the investment of 220 million. Besides, 388 mushroom greenhouses and 2 Shiitake production lines have been constructed and equipped, daily output on fresh mushroom products comes to 130 tons and 1553 people have been provided with jobs.
In addition to mushroom industry, Dafang County also strives to spur medicinal mushroom industry. In 2016, cultivation area for traditional Chinese medicinal mushroom totaled 120,000 mu while output value attained 900 million CNY.

On Friday September 15th, the new Champi'mer plant in Kesteren was opened on a festive basis.

Henk Roodbeen from Champi'mer welcomed the invited guests at their plant, after which Jan Klerken from trading partner Scelta Mushrooms told the colorful history of the company. He emphasized the prospective view, when in the 80's Champi'mer set up the processing of frozen mushrooms, the warm relation between the companies - "we think in generations" and the top position of Champi'mer worldwide. Mayor Kottelberg of Kesteren praised the perseverance of the company innovating over the years. After the speeches a concrete mushroom was revealed, including the footsteps of the men who were at the base of success, after which confetti cans and fireworks concluded the official program. In different groups the guests visited the plant.

The plant in Kesteren, near the A15 built in 2007, has almost doubled their capacity with two new state-of-the-art automatic production lines and cooling facilities. Only six employees run the entire process of receiving the mushrooms up to and including the packaging in 1000 kg bins.

The invited guests enjoyed an upscale lunch and further festivities juring the day.

On September the 7th and 8th, the Polish conference for the Mushroom Industry in the city Siedcle took place with a complete Dutch theme. This as a sign of respect that the Dutch mushroom business has a great influence on the Polish sector. A lot of typical Dutch features were exposed, like windmils, tulips and dutch painters like Vincent van Gogh. 60 participants showed and demonstrated their products and services which was well received by the many visitors from Poland and the Netherlands.

The Pieczarkalia 2017 event is one of the most important events for the Polish Mushroom industry, and offered attendees a wide range of lectures, workshops and trade discussions. Even mushroom soup was provided in the city centre of Siedlce.

In the future the conference will be held every two years, the next one will be in 2019.
