On February 26, it is the fiery harvest time in one of bases in Shunchang County, Fujian Province of China.

Shunchang County is located in subtropical zone where is mild in climate, abundant in rainfall, large in temperature difference between day and night and fertile in soil, which fits for Bamboo fungus cultivation.

In addition, Shunchang County is also known as “The Hometown of Mao Bamboo”, area of bamboo forest reaches 670,000 mu. And, there are 56 enterprises which engage in production of bamboo products, bamboo scraps are utilized as the compost for Bamboo fungus cultivation.

After years of development, nowadays, area for Bamboo fungus cultivation reaches 12,000 mu within Shunchang County, gross output comes to nearly 900,000 kg, accounting for 20% of China’s Bamboo fungus production, products are sold to Southeast Asia and gain popularity by consumers.
Recently, it is the harvest time of Seafood mushroom in the base constructed by Sichuan Qiangu Biotechnology Co., LTD.

“The project was started in September, 2017 and it covers 76 mu of area. During the growth process of Seafood mushroom, by regulating and controlling illumination, temperature, carbon dioxide content and other growth conditions, each mushroom bag is guaranteed to breathe smoothly as well as fruiting evenly,” said chief technology officer of Qiangu Company warmly, going on that by virtues of advanced spawn production, cultivation, processing and management technology, short growth period and high risk resistance capacity, economic benefit on Seafood mushroom production is quite evident. Now, the base daily outputs 60,000 bags of Seafood mushroom, daily mushroom output reaches 45 tons, annual production comes to 12,000 tons while output value hits 120 million CNY.
Recently, in Derun Mushroom Farm located in Suixi County, Guangdong Province of China, Straw mushrooms cultivated on fungi bed are in harvest season.

“Straw mushrooms are packed with vitamins, amino acids, proteins and they are hence hailed as “Kiwifruit of Mushroom”. Last April, i introduced it, and after overcoming technical difficulty, i expanded the scale to 10 mu in October, 2018, daily picking volume reaches 250 kg and the present wholesale price is at 32 CNY per kg,” said Mr. Chen Deyu, person in charge of Derun Mushroom Farm warmly.
Within 5 days from the day of picking on, original flavor of Brown Shimeji mushrooms could be maintained in refrigeration of 2-8 degrees Celsius, and shape of mushroom could be kept after another 2-3 days.

On February 21, three Black fungus cultures (No.1 Plateau Cloud Ear, No.2 Plateau Cloud Ear and No.3 Plateau Cloud Ear) developed by Kunming Xuri Fenghua Co., LTD were identified by Seed Control Station of Yunnan Province.

“On the basis of wild Black fungus culture, we successfully developed the three artificial cultures which show the characteristics of Short Period, Long Fruiting Time, High Output and Superior Quality after the demonstration and improvement,” said marketing manager of Kunming Xuri Fenghua Co., LTD warmly.
On February 18, in thermostatic and intelligent mushroom base managed by Guizhou Jianrong Mushroom Co., LTD, Oudemansiella raphanipes are in harvest time.

“The base covers 40 mu of area and it mainly outputs Shiitake mushroom and Oudemansiella raphanipes,” introduces person in charge of the base warmly. “It only takes 6 hours from the pop-up to picking of Oudemansiella raphanipes and 4 times of picking should be arranged per day. And, Oudemansiella raphanipes produced here could be eaten raw and the present market price is at 70 CNY per kg.”

In Jianrong Company, Oudemansiella raphanipes are in 4 grades, Grade One, Two, Three and Four is respectively at the wholesale price of 70 CNY, 60 CNY, 50 CNY and 40 CNY per kg. And, daily output on fresh Oudemansiella raphanipes and Shiitake mushroom comes to 1500 kg and 2500 kg in respective, which contributes to the daily output value of 100,000 CNY or so, mushrooms are sold well in China and in short supply.
