Since 90s, Mr. Huang, the villager of Liju Village, Shaowu City, Fujian Province of China has begun to cultivate Shiitake, Black fungus and other mushroom varieties. In 2006, he embarked on Bamboo fungus cultivation and broadened the area to 5 mu 6 years later. Now, in cultivation land owned by Mr. Huang, 70kg of dried Bamboo fungi could be produced and obtained in each mu of land, after deducting production costs of 80 CNY per kg, the anticipated annual revenues could total over 50,000 CNY. Bamboo fungus cultivation has significantly exploited a flourishing way for growers.
