Heilongjiang Province: Black fungus industry blooms

At present, in Chaoyang Mushroom Base of Raohe County, Heilongjiang Province of China, 300,000 bags of Black fungi are vigorously evolving. 

“Raohe County holds pleasant weather, superior air and water quality as well as abundant raw materials which are advantageous for Black fungus cultivation,” according to the principal of the base, adding that produced Black fungi carry classic appearance, tender texture, tasty flavor and are favored by general customers.

At present, Black fungus cultivation is divided into two types which refer to hanging-bag and field cultivation in Raohe County, the former indicates easy management, superior quality and convenient picking, field-cultivation requires less input and 10,000 bags could be cultivated in each mu of land, after deducting costs, profits in each mu could reach 20,000 CNY. Besides, Black fungus cultivation needs abundant labor forces, hence surrounding villagers are able to get jobs in the base. 

For years, Raohe County has been grasping Black fungus cultivation as the flourishing project which effectively promotes the revenues for farmers. In 2017, cultivation capacity of Black fungus added up to 7 million bags in Raohe County, the anticipated output on dried Black fungus could reach 350,000kg while production value comes to at least 21 million CNY.
