In addition to mold infection, red and yellow fruiting bodies of Hericium mushroom could also be resulted from improper inner condition of growing room. When inner temperature is under 14 degrees Celsius, fruiting bodies would gradually turn from white to light red, then get darker and darker as temperature goes down.

PREVENTION & CONTROL METHODS:
For growers, when you find fruiting bodies individually turn red, be sure to immediately rise the temperature of growing room, meanwhile, maintain high air humidity. And, it is also effective to prevent mold infection by spraying disinfectant. When finding that mold has just occured, promptly pick it out so as to avert it from spreading.
